Matthew Duncan
Director, Financial Advisor
Matthew Duncan has been a valued member of the Barrett Duncan & Duncan Wealth Advisory Group of Hilliard Lyons since 2004 and the Duncan Group at Baird since 2019. He received his college degree in entrepreneurship from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, Indiana. At the school, he twice received the Glaubinger Entrepreneurship Scholarship and was recognized for his outstanding scholarship, leadership, and service by The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Since Indiana University in Bloomington, Matt furthered his education, graduating from Wharton School of Business Securities Industry Institute. In 2019 Matt also received his Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation.
Matt and his wife Megan live in Indianapolis with their six children. He enjoys relaxing with his family, wake-boarding, and coaching soccer.

Kate Roberts
Senior Client Specialist
Kate Roberts joined the group in the Spring of 2015. Kate graduated from Indiana University studying mathematics and biology. Her previous work experience includes Sales Manager for UniFirst Corporation as well as Managing at Nordstrom. Kate’s passion for customer relationships and service makes her a wonderful addition to the Duncan Group.
Kate and her husband Layton, spend most of their free time raising their two daughters and chauffeuring them to their various sports. When they aren't busy, they enjoy escaping to their lake cottage in northern Indiana and enjoying the lake life.
Eric Wikstrom, CPA, CFP®, CPWA®
Tax Strategist
Eric joined Robert W. Baird & Co. in 2021 as a Tax Strategist for Baird Private Wealth Management. Prior to joining Baird, Eric operated his own tax planning firm specializing in alternative retirement plan investments. Throughout his career in tax, investment and corporate finance capacities, Eric helped develop and structure sophisticated financial solutions to meet the unique goals of individuals and institutions.
Eric graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and also holds a Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA. He also holds CPA, CFP®, and CPWA® designations as well as a Life Insurance and Disability license in the State of Washington.

James F. Guckenberg, J.D.
Estate Planner
Jim joined Baird’s Private Wealth Management team in September of 2021 as an Assistant Vice President and Estate Planner, working out of the Milwaukee office. He works with Baird Financial Advisors, their clients, and the clients’ other professionals to promote the benefit of estate planning and assist with the development of clients’ estate plans. Specifically, his responsibilities include reviewing and discussing existing estate plans, answering estate planning questions, and presenting on estate planning topics.
Jim comes to Baird from Halling & Cayo, S.C., a Milwaukee law firm, where his practice focused on estate planning, probate, guardianship, and family law. While at Halling & Cayo, Jim presented at continuing legal education seminars for the National Business Institute and the Milwaukee Bar Association. He also served as chair of the Family Law Section of the Milwaukee Bar Association. Prior to coming to Milwaukee, Jim was a financial representative for Northwestern Mutual in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
A native of Wisconsin, Jim graduated from Lawrence University with degrees in Music Education and Performance and earned his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law.
Willis W. Hobson, J.D.
Senior Vice President Trust Strategist
Will is a Senior Vice President and Trust Strategist for Baird Trust. He works with Baird Financial Advisors and their clients offering complex trust and estate planning guidance. Will has over 30 years of experience in trust and estate planning and administration. He is a member of the Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Louisville Estate Planning Counsel.
Prior to joining Baird Trust, Will spent four years with the law firm of Greenebaum Doll & McDonald in Louisville, where he focused primarily on estate administration, estate planning, and trust administration. Will holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee and a J.D. from the University of Louisville. He serves on the Board of Directors for Crescent Hill Community Council, Friends of the Crescent Hill Library, and KET-Louisville. Will joined our firm in 1990.
